Saudade(Portuguese(Europe): [sɐwˈðaðɨ], Portoguese(Brasil):[sawˈdadʒi]; plural ‘saudades’). In Galician-Portoguese, it is the deep emotional status felt after the absence of someone who is loved or something that is liked. It is the melancolic longing for something or somebody at the back of beyond. In other words, it is about thinking on a past that was relieved of one’s own and living towards an unknown future and assumptions regarding it. To clarify, it is to miss the future possibilities which could have been offered by the past.
